So i posted two weeks earlier that my car was in a wreck in the recent Colorado snow storm. Well after a long drawn out mess the other guys insurance accepted 100% liability for the accident so good news. The not so good news is the car is going to be totaled and I am getting ready to be low balled by his insurance company on the value of my car. The car is a 1990 68,000 mile 5spd Twinturbo in excellent condition with a few mods which according to NADA is worth about $8,000 yet after looking all over cars.com autotrader and such forth low millage tt's in great condition are going for $15,000. So my question is, have any of you done dealt with this before and if so any suggestions and getting enough money out of them to actually replace my car. I am not asking about my modifications as i am already gathering receipts where possible but more getting the true fair market value for my car so that i can attempt to find one like it. i know this has been covered before but i searched to no avail.
